Privacy Policy

The short version
Perla is a period and cycle tracker that stores all your health data on your phone. We have no server. We cannot see your data. We do not sell it. The only external service we use is RevenueCat for subscription management — it never touches your health data.
Health data you enter
When you use Perla, you may log period dates, flow intensity, symptoms, cervical mucus, basal body temperature, ovulation tests, pregnancy tests, sexual activity, health conditions, birth control method, and tracking goals. All of this data is stored locally on your phone. It never leaves your device.
Apple Health data
If you grant permission, Perla reads and writes menstrual cycle and body temperature data from Apple Health. This data stays on your device — it is synced locally, never transmitted to us or any third party. You can revoke this permission at any time in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > Perla.
Subscription data
When you subscribe, your purchase is processed through Apple's App Store and managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives purchase history and an anonymous subscriber ID. It does not have access to any of your health data.
What Perla does NOT collect
We do not collect your name, email, or phone number. We do not collect location data. We do not use analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Amplitude, or MixPanel). We do not use crash reporting, advertising identifiers, or behavioral analytics. We do not operate any server, API, or cloud database.
How your data is stored
All health data is stored locally on your device, protected by iOS Data Protection which encrypts all app data at rest using your device passcode. This data does not sync to any cloud service operated by us.
AI features
Perla's AI insights run entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence. No data is sent to any server, cloud service, or third-party AI provider. The AI model runs locally with no internet access.
Data sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, trade, or disclose your health data to anyone. We do not share data with advertisers, insurance companies, employers, or law enforcement. Because we have no server, we have nothing to share even if asked.
Your rights
You can view all your data within the app at any time. You can export it in JSON or PDF format. You can permanently delete everything with one tap. Since we store nothing externally, deletion from your device is complete and permanent.
EU residents (GDPR)
Perla is developed in Poland (EU). Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and export your personal data. Because all data is stored on your device, these rights are exercised directly in the app. We do not process your health data on any server.
California residents
Under the CCPA and CMIA, your reproductive and menstrual health data is classified as medical information. We do not sell, share, or use this data for marketing. To exercise your privacy rights, contact us at contact@perlaapp.com.
Children's privacy
Perla is designed for users ages 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you through an in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
